very rare sight, one not seen before in my lifetime, of the planet Mercury
visible with Venus before the rising sun. Astronomy Web sites said at the
end of October Mercury was at its greatest elongation - distance from the
sun - for ideal viewing conditions. This was about 30 to 40 minutes before
sunrise. |
